After taking a break in July, it’s now time for another Just Run 4 Fun newsletter. Let’s update on Summer so far.
My Experiences:
In my circle, I have a Sunday morning running group. We meet and run (or walk) for the first hour; the second hour we go for conversation and coffee. Great way to find out who is doing which runs, when, and where. We’re always comparing our running experiences – and issues.
As for me, I’ve done my “usual” on-coast and off-coast 5k’s, 8k’s and 10k’s. All fun, no personal bests, great on the social side, and – best of all – helps me maintain my interest and focus and provides time for meditation and thinking. (Which I really need.) A few from the group have been doing far more exciting events than I have and posting great results.
Unfortunately, one friend has suffered injuries and had to cut back on her runs – and running. Hard, as this year’s summer is being so-o very nice here.
